At age 17 Paul attended trade school, graduating 2 years later and started working as a Radio Technician. Then he got employment with Westinghouse in 1944, worked in Home Electronics and Appliances for 22 years and transferred into the Industrial Products as a Marketing Negotiator, bidding on jobs for electrical installations, such as substations and other High Voltage applications until 1985 when he retired at the age of 58.
