    Tom VE1TOM     Tom, VE1TOM of South Ohio, Nova Scotia is a regular on the ham bands with his potent  signal from the East Coast. Born 1924/03/13, Sackville, New Brunswick. Graduated Sackville High 1941. Joined The Bank of Nova Scotia 1941 as junior clerk. Joined Canadian Army at 18 in 1943. Sent on one year course with C.A.U.C. at Mount Allison University. Overseas with 45th Battery, 7 Medium Regiment, R.C.A..Discharged 1946 with rank of Gunner (Lowest form of animal life in the artillery). Rejoined Scotiabank and retired 1984 after 43 years service in many locations across Canada.. 
    Hobbies:

    Took Amateur Radio Course in 1991 and have Basic with 12 W.P.M.

        Station pretty basic; All mode 2 metre (25 W), Kenwood 850S(AT) (100 W), 6 Band Garant wire antenna, offset fed. 
    Member Yarmouth Amateur Radio Club and R.A.C. Enjoy ragchewing, not contesting. Other pleasures reduced to
    reading and music subsequent to stroke in December 1997 which affected mobility.
